These days, gamers are spoiled for choice with all the options available to them, as manufacturers from across the industry have released a wide range of headsets that cater to various needs, platforms, and budgets. With Amazon Prime Day running July 12-13, it's just about the best time of the year to pick up a gaming headset. In fact, there are even some wonderful early deals on gaming headsets right now.

You can find early deals from all of the major players in the gaming headset industry right now, including SteelSeries, Razer, Logitech, Corsair, HyperX, and more. Some of these deals are already really good, so we might not see better discounts on comparable headsets during the actual sales event.

The Arctis 7P+ looks like a million bucks with its design and fortunately costs far, far less than that. This model is designed for the PS5 specifically and takes advantage of that console's Tempest 3D audio features to deliver detailed sound, and connects via a dedicated dongle. The advantage to this extra piece of hardware is that you can also connect it wirelessly to PC, PS4, iOS, Android, and Switch, for added multi-platform versatility. This Razer headset has a lot going for it, as it happens to be capable of pumping THX 7.1 surround sound into your head through a pair of memory foam ear cushions that prevent overheating and pressure build-up. The wireless version of the BlackShark can run for 24 hours after a full charge, and when it is running low on stored electricity, you can always plug it into your PC or Xbox controller with an included 3.5mm headphone jack. Designed to deliver some quality audio without you having to worry about your budget being busted, the Razer Kaira has some impressive internals. TriForce Titanium 50mm Drivers transmit a range of powerful and subtle sounds, bendable mic has improved voice capture features, and the Xbox wireless functionality makes pairing quick and easy.

One of Razer's best-selling headset brands, the Kraken has 7.1 surround sound for positional audio,custom-tuned 50mm drivers, and an extremely green finish. It's made to be worn all day, as the ear cups are made from cooling gel-infused cushions that prevents overheating and pressure build-up.

For 15 bucks more, you can grab the next step up for SteelSeries. Also compatible with PC and consoles, it has a Discord-certified ClearCast microphone, sound that's engineered to produce ultra-low distortion audio, and an ergonomic design that cradles around your head comfortably.

The Xbox consoles are notorious for being very picky with which headsets can wirelessly connect to them, but you won't have that problem with the SteelSeries Arctis 9X. Logitech's premium headset range comes in a wide variety of designs for different budgets, and this particular model hits a sweet spot between affordability and quality. The 50mm drivers deliver clear and precise sound with a punchy bass layer, the integrated mic has excellent noise-canceling features, and you can finetune the hardware to your liking using Logitech's G Hub software on your PC.
