A Colliers team has brokered the sale of Hilltop Mobile Home Community in Riverton, Ill. The 103-lot property traded for $6.3 million, with public records showing that the seller was a local investor.

Located at 1000 E. Kinzie St., the property is less than 2 miles from Interstate 72, roughly 10 miles from downtown Springfield, Ill., and some 9 miles from the State Capitol, Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Sites and Capital Airport. The community features 73 park-owned homes, with 71 percent of the sites on the property completed in 1996 and upwards.

At the time of the sale, the community was 94 percent occupied.

Last year, the brokerage company worked on behalf of the seller in the acquisition of another manufactured housing community in Springfield. Flagship Communities Real Estate Investment Trust spent $16.3 million on the 231-site Woodland Acres, which marked the company’s first purchase in the Prairie State.
