A LOVE Island star has claimed producers wanted her wear thong bikinis in the villa.

Georgia Steel appeared on series four of the hit dating show and shared how she'd have to wear the skimpy swimwear on camera.

And while the 24-year-old was asked to wear tiny thongs, other Love Island stars like twins Jess and Eve Gale revealed they were banned from wearing the same bottoms.

Georgia said the producers of the show "liked it" when she wore a thong bikini.

She said she "never got told off for her clothes ever," despite other Love Islanders being called out for their clothing.

In a chat with the Daily Star, the brunette beauty revealed: "I never got told off for my clothes ever. The only time they asked me to change was when I was wearing a patterned dress as it made the camera go a bit funny.

"Oh no, they were going, 'Georgia get that thong bikini on girl', they wanted me to wear it.

"But knowing the twins, it probably was very small."

In a chat with the publication, Jess and Eve opened up on their own experience on the show.

Eve said: "I had that thong bikini that I wasn't allowed to wear and you weren't allowed to wear that Ann Summers one."

She added: "I had a bikini and it was the real thing one, like the Oh Polly ones, it wasn't nude, but it was a thong."

To which Jess said: "I was wearing an Ann Summers one and because it's a family TV show they were like this is inappropriate."

Eve added that she had to "change it to a tiny bit thicker."

The Love Island villa has a lot of stringent rules that contestants have to abide by during their time on the show.

Producers are really strict on practising safe sex. The islanders are offered STI tests before entering the villa and it’s reported that many have taken up the offer.

They are also offered counselling after sex if they want it.

The Islanders aren’t allowed to be fully naked in front of each other either, and there’s a ban on masturbation, according to The Mirror.

Even in the shower cast members are not supposed to be completely nude.

This is apparently because the villa is a public place.
